Why the output power of solar system does not reach the ideal power

There are many factors that affect the output power of a photovoltaic power station, including the amount of solar radiation, the tilt angle of the solar cell module, dust and shadow obstruction, and the temperature characteristics of the module.

The system power is too low due to improper system configuration and installation. Common solutions include:

(1) Before installation, check whether the power of each solar panel is sufficient.

(2) Adjust the installation angle and orientation of the solar panel.

(3) Check the solar panels for shadows and dust.

(4) Check whether the voltage of the solar panels after series connection is within the voltage range. If the voltage is too low, the system efficiency will be reduced.

(5) Before installing multiple strings, check the open circuit voltage of each string. The difference should not exceed 5V. If the voltage is found to be wrong, check the wiring and connectors.

(6) It can be connected in batches during installation. When each group is connected, the power of each group is recorded. The power difference between strings does not exceed 2%.

(7) The ventilation in the installation place is not smooth, the heat of the inverter is not dissipated in time, or it is directly exposed to the sun, causing the inverter temperature to be too high.

(8) The inverter has dual MPPT connections, and the input power of each channel is only 50% of the total power. In principle, the design and installation power of each channel should be equal. If it is connected to only one MPPT terminal, the output power will be halved.

(9) Poor contact of cable joints, too long cables and too thin wire diameters will cause voltage loss and eventually power loss.

(10) The grid-connected AC switch capacity of the photovoltaic power station is too small and cannot meet the inverter output requirements.
